Baptized Pierre-Arthur Huot. Son of George Huot and Emma Dalbec (deceased in 1913), of Montréal, Québec. Engaged to Yvonne Courcelles.
Enlisted in the 22nd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he served under the name Georges Arthur Huot while signing his name as Arthur G. Huot. He sailed for Great Britain on May 20, 1915, and landed in Plymouth, England, on the 29th. On September 15 of that year, he crossed the English Channel and landed in Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, on the same day. He was killed in action on June 11, 1916, southwest of Zillebeke during the Battle of Zillebeke-Mont-Sorrel in the Ypres Salient, Belgium. His body was never recovered.
His brother Norbert also served with the 22nd Battalion and he was killed in combat at Courcelette on 3 October 1916.
