His mother deceased two weeks after his birth; his father then married Delphine Parent, of Montréal.
Husband of Valentine Tessier of Montréal.

Enlisted in the 69th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, in England on 28 July 1916, he was transferred to the 22nd Battalion. Arriving in the front line on 19 August, he was killed in action on 1 October 1916 during the Battle of Courcelette, Somme, France, for the capture of Regina Trench.

ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY Somme, France

Miraumont is a village about 14.5 kilometres north-north-east of Albert and the Cemetery is some 3 kilometres south of the village on the east side of the road to Courcelette (D107). The ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY is signposted in the centre of Miraumont.
