On right is Rifleman John Baptist Louis known to us as Sunshine, along with my Dad Private Frank Banning Lake Superior Scottish Regiment they were the very best of friends and enlisted on the same day then went to Fryers Studio and took this picture together -

Paying respects
Banning Family visits Normandy France to pay tribute to John B Louis gravesite June 4-6 2024, he was Dads best friend, they enlisted together. John Baptist nickname was Sunshine and had he survived WWII I know he would have been known to us as Uncle Sunshine
