He had served from July 28 to September 21, 1916 (service number 856615, enrolled as Alfred Laliberté in Sherbrooke) and was missing when his regiment boarded for overseas.
He then reenrolled one month later as Albert Laine (service number 1057134).
He is commemorated as Albert Laine in the First World War Book of Remembrance.
