Canadian National Railways - World War One Roll of Honour. Driver George Herbert Leaman enlisted in September 1914 with the first Canadian Contingent at Valcartier, Quebec. He described his occupation on his military attestation form as a Freight Porter. Leaman was born in Turtle Creek, New Brunswick. His mother, Mrs. M. B. Leaman, at Moncton, New Brunswick, was named as his next-of-kin. He had previously served four years with the 74th Regiment. In honoured memory.
