PLAINE FRENCH NATIONAL CEMETERY Bas-Rhin, France

Plaine is a village in the Department of the Bas-Rhin, formerly part of Alsace (Elsass). The Cemetery is situated on the south-west side of the village. The Commonwealth war graves plot is in the South-West corner. The Plaine French National Cemetery was made in 1921. There are now over 40, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, over 10 are unidentified and special memorials are erected to four soldiers known or believed to be buried among them.
