Burial/memorial information
On 1st July 1918, the Westmoor was en route in ballast from Gibraltar to Buenos Aires, Argentina, when she was torpedoed and sunk by U-91 210 miles (338 km) north-west of Casablanca, Morocco, position 34°10'N/11°27'W. Two sailors lost their lives. The captain was taken prisoner of war.
