Lt Evans is commemorated on the St Marys Memorial at Town Hall on Queen Street East in St Marys, Ontario. His brother, AB John Clow Evans RNCVR died 29 December 1917 while serving on His Majesty's Trawler Sapper Herbert Bennett.

The Soldiers' Tower was built at University of Toronto between 1919-1924 in memory of those lost to the University in the Great War. The name of Lt. W. L. Evans is among the 628 names carved on the Memorial Screen, which can be seen at photo left. Photo: K. Parks, Alumni Affairs.

PERONNE ROAD CEMETERY, MARICOURT, FRANCE Somme, France
Maricourt is a village approximately 11 kilometres east of Albert on the road to Peronne. The PERONNE ROAD CEMETERY is on the western outskirts of the village on the north side of the road to Albert.
