The Grave of 931483 Pvt. John Donofrio who served under the name "John Donovani" with the 225th Battn. C.E.F.
Born in Lauringgani Bazilicato Italy on Jan. 15th 1876. John enlisted into the C.E.F. at Crambrook BC on March 20th 1916 listing his occupation as Cement Finsher" Because of poor eyesight he was made a Bandsman for the Regt. John died at Vancouver BC on April 27th 1921 at the age of 44. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
