Baptized Joseph-Oscar-Hérold Lizotte. Son of Emma Rocheleau (deceased in 1912) and Georges-Albert Lizotte (remarried to Eugénie Rocheleau in 1912), of Montréal, Québec.

He was attached to the brigade headquarters as a clerk and was killed instantly by a shell that came through the door and exploded in the dugout where he and several others had taken shelter during a bombardment.
