Baptized Joseph-Wilfrid Guillemette. Son of Anaclet Guillemette and Célina Richard, of Sherbrooke, Québec. Husband of Rose-de-Lima « Alma » Lévesque, of Mont-Joli, Bas-St-Laurent, Québec. He was father of three children when he enlisted.

He was severely wounded to the head during the assault on Hill 70 in Lens and he died of his wounds at a forward position of No. 7 Casualty clearing station.

NOEUX-LES-MINES COMMUNAL CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France

Noeux-les-Mines is a town 6 kilometres south of Bethune on the main road to Arras. The Communal Cemetery is on the northern side of the town, on the south-east side of the road to Labourse.
