The Moore family lost two sons in the first World War. Sgt. George Moore, 5433, Canadian Engineers, died on June 30th, 1916. He enlisted at Valcartier Camp, Quebec, on September 23rd, 1914. Gunner Herbert Walter Moore, 83259, signed his military attestation on May 3rd, 1915 in Toronto. He died on August 15th, 1917. -
