Baptized Joseph-Jean-Baptiste-Élisée-Herman Laplante. Son of Élisée Laplante and Mathilda Braconnier, of Montréal, Québec. He had declared to be born on March 5th, 1880 at the time of his enrollment and although baptized "Herman", he was always called "Armand" and is registered as such in the 1891, 1901 and 1911 censuses.

Take the D38 from Cherisy to Hendecourt. Approximately 2 kilometres from Cherisy turn left just before Sun Quarry Cemetery onto a dirt track. Continue for 1 kilometre before turning left to arrive at Quebec Cemetery.
