Son of John Henry and Annie Bush, of Derby, England; husband of Mildred Bush, of Kenora, Ontario. He join the 94th Battalion. Sailed to England on board the SS Olympic on 6 July 1916. On arrival, transferred to the 32 Battalion on 18 July 1916, to the 5th Battalion on 28 August 1916 and finally to the 10th Battalion on 31 December 1916, where he remained until his death. He listed his civilian occupation as carpenter.
Pte Bush is commemorated on a memorial in Magnetawan, Ontario having made the supreme sacrifice.
