Additional information
Baptized Joseph-Henri-Eugène Berthiaume. Son of Wilfrid-Antoine Berthiaume and Mélanie Tétreault, of Montréal, Québec. He stated being born on 28 April 1894 when he enlisted.

Joseph-Henri Berthiaume briefly served with the 22nd Battalion in Summer 1917 and was evacuated following a wound to his back and trench fever. After healing, he was kept in England and was later transferred to the Forestry Corps, in April 1918. He died of Spanish flu seven months later while he was serving with the Forestry Corps in northern Scotland.
