His full name is John Henry Collier.
Son of Captain John Collier and Jemina Vatcher of Burgo, Burgeo, Newfoundland. John died at sea on 14 December 1914 in the North Atlantic.
This two-masted, wooden-hulled schooner left St-Pierre-Miquelon for Catalina, New Zealand, on 10 December 1917 and was reported missing. She and the six sailors on board were never heard from again. The date of death for these men, all from Burgeo, Newfoundland, was the date of her departure.
