Additional information
Pte McCready attested that he was single and listed his brother, Harry McCready of Edmonton, Alberta, as his next of kin. He was also the brother of James, Jennie and Mary. He listed his civilian occupation as clerk. Pte McCready enlisted but shortly before leaving for overseas took sick. He finally succumbed to his illness never having made it overseas.

EDMONTON CEMETERY Alberta, Canada

The cemetery was formerly known as "Edmonton Protestant Cemetery" and contains graves of both world wars. There is also a Cross of Sacrifice, erected after the 1914-1918 War. There are now 80, 1914-1918 and over 50, 1939-1945 War casualties commemorated in this site.
