Burial/memorial information
A founding soldier of the 22nd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he arrived in Liverpool, England on 29 May 1915. He landed in Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, on 15 September. On 12 May 1916, he was in the front line. He was killed in action at Mont-Sorrel during the Battle of Zillebeke-Mont-Sorrel in the Ypres Salient, Belgium.
