Additional information
Baptized Louis-Armand Cholette. Son of Louis Cholette and Victoria Lacas, from Montréal. Louis-Armand married Amanda Vaillancourt, also from Montréal, in 1910. Father of Hercule, Noëlla, Joëlle, Béatrice et Armandine Cholette, all from Montréal.

Enlisted in the 41st Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he embarked in Montreal, Quebec, for Great Britain, arriving in Plymouth on 28 October 1915. Posted to the 23rd Battalion on 29 February 1916, he left for France on 16 April 1916 after being transferred to the 22nd Battalion on the 15th. He joined his new unit in the front line on 6 May. He was killed in action on 11 June 1916 during the Battle of Zillebeke-Mont-Sorrel in the Ypres Salient, Belgium.
