An oak lectern was placed in the Chancel Guild at St. Mary the Virgin, 36 Westmoreland Avenue and dedicated to Lieutenant Alexander Douglas Kirkpatrick of the 3rd Battalion, Captain George Massey Williamson of the 14th Battalion, and Private Samuel Lewis of Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. Lieutenant Kirkpatrick and Captain Williamson were killed in action on April 24 and 25, respectively. Private Lewis was killed in action on May 4, 1915.

The first St. Mary the Virgin, was located on the north-west corner of Bloor and Delaware until 1914, when a new building was erected on Westmoreland. In 1966, the amalgamated with St. Cyprian’s, Manning Avenue and formed St. Mary the Virgin & St. Cyprian’s which closed in 2002.

A rood cross dedicated to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene parishioners who lost their lives in the First World War was unveiled in the sanctuary on June 5, 1921. It was designed by William Rae, painted by Franz Johnston, and modelled by Frances Loring.

The St. Martin-in-the-Fields First World War Window was constructed by Robert McCausland Company and dedicated to parishioners who gave their lives in the war. It was donated by the congregation and unveiled at the opening of the church on May 14, 1922. Sixteen men of St. Martin's gave their lives in the First World War.

The window takes up most of the west wall and the theme is one of sacrifice: Christ on the cross, reflecting the sacrifice of the war dead and the sacrifice of the sacrament, for in the Eucharist we receive the power of new life. It consists of three elements. The middle panel is Christ on the cross, with Jerusalem in the distance and the image of night descending. In the left panel is St. John and an angel above him with the host in one hand and pointing to the body of Christ with the other hand. In the right panel is the Virgin Mary in the garden and an angel above her holding the chalice with the consecrated wine.

A New Dawn window, sponsored by the Imperial Officers Association of Canada, was dedicated on November 12, 2006. It is the work of Canadian Sarah Hall, one of the most accomplished stained glass artists in the world. Depicted in the window are the four elements: earth, fire, water and air, which symbolize the operations of the navy, army, and air force striving towards peace and A New Dawn. From the bottom of the window, the scene of reddish coloured earth with a devastated landscape moves to a tumultuous and threatening sea, and up through swirling clouds to the diamond-shaped light at the top, representing the dawn. On the outside a special tempered and textured glass provides protection as well as colour and depth. In sunlight it projects a rainbow of colours into the narthex.

This set of three windows was given in memory of Howard Alfred Hunt and shipmates who killed in action at sea in July 1944. The two windows on either side of the doors depict ships of the Royal Canadian Navy in action on the North Atlantic during the Second World War. On the far left, the image of St. Christopher, formerly the patron saint of travelers, bears the Christ Child on his shoulder.

This window is in memory of George Gooderham Monro, son of Neville and Ethel Monro, who died in action in Italy in 1944. It depicts Jesus teaching in the temple and is based on Luke 4:16-21. It is not known who designed the window, but there has been speculation it is the work of Peter Howarth, who worked for Luxfer-Prism Stained Glass of Toronto.

This three-light window was based on the passage from Luke 24:13-50, in which Jesus, after the Resurrection, walks with two of his disciples on the road to the village of Emmaus. It was made by Robert McCausland Limited and dedicated in 1943 in memory of Lieutenant John Dukenfield Pearce, killed in action in Dieppe, August 1942.
