  • Photo of Herbert Fielding Paul– Herbert Fielding Paul was born on January 11, 1893.  After graduating school, he was employed at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Springhill and Amherst (1910). He attended Acadia University, receiving a certificate in engineering in 1916, and went on to complete an engineering degree at the Nova Scotia Technical College. He joined the Royal Flying Corps, and was close to completing his training at Deseronto, Ontario, when he was killed when his plane crashed.
