Location:

The DUHALLOW ADS.CEMETERY is located on the Diksmuidseweg N369 road direction Boezinge. From the station turn left into M.Fochlaan and go to the roundabout, turn right and go to the next roundabout. Here turn left and drive to the next roundabout, here turn right into Oude Veurnestraat. Take the 2nd turning on the left which is the Diksmuidseweg. The cemetery is on the right hand side of the road just past the first turning on the right.

  • Ceremony– British troops (identifiable by Lee Enfield Rifles) paying their respects at the battlefield grave site of Ivor Beynon. As the casualty report states, Sapper Beynon of the 1st Field Company, Canadian Engineers, was on guard duty on the bridge over the Yser Canal when he was struck in the head and killed instantly by a piece of enemy shrapnel.
