Baptized Marie-Elzéar-Ovide Valiquet. Son of Louis-Ulric Valiquet and Sarah Laflamme, of Ottawa. He stated being born in 1883 when he enlisted. He signed-up for overseas on 1 July 1916, however, he had been serving since 21 September 1915 (enrolled in Victoria, BC).

Location:

Lillers is a small town about 15 kilometres west-north-west of Bethune and the, LILLERS COMMUNAL CEMETERY lies to the north of the town. From the Mairie in the centre of the town, head north on the D182, after 500 metres turn right onto Rue St. Venant. The cemetery is a further 200 metres on the left hand side. The Commonwealth burials are at the far end of the communal plot.
