Brother of Lance Corporal Burton Alonzo Treen, who died on May 1, 1919, while serving with The Royal Canadian Regiment. Cousin of Private Stanley Treen, who died on February 22, 1916, while serving with the Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment).
