  • Memorial– Erected by the people of Arnold's Cove, this marble obelisk memorial on Main Street, Arnold's Cove, NL is dedicated to Private A. Guy, Private G. Rose, Private W. Adams and Private W.H. Peach, the local war dead of the First World War. The memorial was unveiled on 7 August 1921. The site was chosen as it is visible from all parts of the cove. A quote from the Veteran Magazine (September, 1921) states "this monument will stand the test of time as a fitting reminder of the men who died as well as a grateful tribute from their fellow villagers, who though small in numbers, contributed to the very best of their means." Wreaths are still laid at this site for the local Remembrance Day Services.
