  • Newspaper Clipping– Pte. Walter Fick enlisted with the 204th (Beavers) in Toronto on May 1st, 1916. His name appears on two plaques located in the front entrance of Toronto's Old City Hall - the 204th Beavers memorial plaque and the Toronto Street Railway plaque.  He had been a Conductor on the T.S.R. at the time of enlistment.  The 204th Battalion was broken down to reinforce pre-existing units once at the front lines.
