Newspaper Clipping – Pte. Walter Fick enlisted with the 204th (Beavers) in Toronto on May 1st, 1916. His name appears on two plaques located in the front entrance of Toronto's Old City Hall - the 204th Beavers memorial plaque and the Toronto Street Railway plaque. He had been a Conductor on the T.S.R. at the time of enlistment. The 204th Battalion was broken down to reinforce pre-existing units once at the front lines.
