  • Grave Marker– Grave of 13344 Pvt. Frederick Robertson who served with the 5th Battn. C.E.F.  Born in Congleton Cheshire England on Oct. 13th 1880.
Frederick enlisted into the C.E.F. the first time at Valcartier Quebec on Sept. 21st 1914, he listed prior military service of 7 years with the 2nd Cheshire Regt. (Imp.) listing his occupation as "Teamster"  
Frederick was discharged from the army in 1917 due to "Tuberculosis" and sent to a sanatorium in British Columbia.  He tried to re-enlist on March 24th 1917 at the Balfour Sanatorium at Procter BC but was found "Unfit" for active duty.
Frederick died at Vancouver BC of Tuberculosis on Aug. 24th 1920 at the age of 39.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
