Born in the city of Castletown on the Isle of Man England on Sept. 27th 1897.  He enlisted into the C.E.F. at New Westminster BC on Jan. 12th 1916 at the age of 18, he listed his occupation as "Teamster"   He died in Vancouver BC on Oct. 28th 1918 at the age of 21.
