Born in Owen Sound Ontario on June 15th 1881.  Husband of Nora F. McClelland of Burnaby BC.  James enlisted into the C.E.F. at New Westminster BC on March 13th 1915 listing prior military service of 2 years with the 6th D.C.O.R. Regt.Canadian Militia.
He died while on active service on March 9th 1917 at the age of 36 and was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
