  • Grave Marker– Grave of 703462 Pvt. Moses McConnell who served with the 102nd Battn. C.E.F.
He was born at Castle view Kirkcudbright Scotland on April 23rd 1886.  He enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vernon BC on Jan. 31st 1916, he listed prior military military service of 8 months in the Gallaway Vol. Rifles in Scotland, he litsted his occupation as "Shoemaker & Saddler"  He was invalided back to Canada in 1917 due to illness. Moses died at Vancouver BC of the Spanish flu on March 17th 1919 at the age of 33. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
