  • Grave Marker– Cadet Gilbert's grave, located in the Elmvale Presbyterian Cemetery, Queen Street East, Elmvale, Ontario, is marked by a standard Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone.  Near the bottom, a personal inscription reads "AT REST".  Cadet Gilbert died of influenza.  (Image taken by Gregory J. Barker of Barrie, Ontario, in 2012.   • Family Memorial– Cadet Gilbert is also commemorated on his family's memorial, which stands only a few feet from his grave in the Elmvale Presbyterian Cemetery, Queen Street East, Elmvale, Ontario.
