Edinboro, Ambleside,Cumberland (Now Cumbria)
Edinboro was a block of mill workers cottages where James's wife Violet (nee Tyson) was born, and they both lived after their marriage in 1908, until James left for Canada. After James's death in 1916 Violet and son Robert William returned to this address, where she lived until the mid 1950's.

The memorial commemorates the unit’s actions on 26 September 1916 when they attacked Regina Trench during the Battle of Theipval Ridge. PUCHEVILLERS BRITISH CEMETERY Somme, France
Puchevillers is a village about 19 kilometres north-east of Amiens. The PUCHEVILLERS BRITISH CEMETERY is a little west of the village. The first Commonwealth War Graves Commission signpost is situated by the church in the village.
