Location:

Vailly-sur-Aisne is a village in the Deparment of the Aisne,17 kilometres east of Soissons which is approximately 100 kilometres north-east of Paris. VAILLY BRITISH CEMETERY is on the west side of the village, on the north side of the road to Soissons.

  • Newspaper Clipping– From the Daily Colonist of December 23, 1915. Image taken from web address of https://archive.org/stream/dailycolonist58y11uvic#mode/1up. Lieutenant Meredith had an unconventional service history, initially being discharged at Victoria on February 14, 1916 after being wounded at Festubert on May 21, 1915 while serving with the 16th Battalion C.E.F. He re-enlisted on March 16, 1916 and was subsequently seconded for duty with the R.F.C. on October 4, 1917.
