Son of Albert Bonnet and Evelina Fullum. Husband of Lillian Hartley from Crowborough, Sussex, England. Father of Roland Georges and Joseph Émile Davis Bonnet. Brother of Marcel, Fernand, Gérard, Léo, Robert and Raymond.
Enlisted in the Canadian Army Special Force, he was transferred to the 1st Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment, until 14 December 1950, then to the 2nd Battalion until 13 January 1951, in Korea. Hospitalized on 13 January 1951 due to illness, he was repatriated to Canada with the 1st Battalion in 1951. He died there.
Commemorated on the Wall of Remembrance.
