Son of Fred Collins. Husband of Mrs. Phyllis Kathleen (née Chapman) Collins, father of Peter Stewart Collins of Ottawa, Ontario. He had Second World War service in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps where he held the position of cook. A Memorial erected by the Korean Veterans Association, National Capital Unit, commemorating the 516 Canadians who died in the Korean War was unveiled and rededicated during Veterans Week 2003 at Ottawa City Hall Headquarters on Elgin Street.
