Son of Sarah Unice Clarke (father deceased from WWI wounds). Brother of Freda (Mrs Kenneth Dawson) of Halifax, Nova Scotia and half sister Gloria Lenine Clarke.
Corporal Evans served in the Reserves from 1944 and was discharged in May 1945. He joined the Canadian Army in 1950.
Corporal Evans is commemorated on the Nova Scotia Korea War Memorial with his fellow Nova Scotians who lost their lives in the Korean War. The Memorial is located at Pleasant and Parade Streets in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. It was unveiled and dedicated in a ceremony on 16 August 2003.
Commemorated on the Wall of Remembrance.
