Son of William R. and Margaret Nankervis of Timmins, Ontario. Brother of Ann Elizabeth and Catherine Margaret Spence. He attended Army Cadets from 1946 to 1952. He attained the rank of Cadet Major. From November 1950 to July 1952, he served with the Algonquin Regiment.
Commemorated on the Wall of Remembrance.
