Son of Henry Edward Webb of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Brother of Norman Edward, Arthur Russell, Laurence Douglas, Norma and Delores.Gunner Webb is commemorated on the Nova Scotia Korea War Memorial with his fellow Nova Scotians who lost their lives in the Korean War. The Memorial is located at Pleasant and Parade Streets in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. It was unveiled and dedicated in a ceremony on 16 August 2003.

Location:

The United Nations Cemetery is located in Tanggok, a suburb of Busan. The land for the cemetery was granted to the United Nations by the Republic of Korea as a tribute to all those who had laid down their lives in combatting aggression and in upholding peace and freedom. There are 2,267 servicemen buried in the United Nations Memorial Cemetery. Of these 1,538 were Commonwealth soldiers, including 376 Canadians.

  • Memorial– A section of the Korean Veterans National Wall of Remembrance in Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton, Ontario. The memorial consists of a central section and 13 other sections containing memorial plaques for each of the 516 Canadian service men who died while serving with the Canadian Forces in the United Nations operations in Korea. It was erected by the Korea Veterans Association of Canada and was dedicated on July 27, 1997.

  • Memorial– Gunner CHARLES DONALD WEBB is one of 23 soldiers commemorated on this panel and is one of the 516 members of the Canadian Forces whose names appear on the Korean War Monument in Ottawa.  It was erected IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE CANADIAN WHO DIED IN SERVICE DURING THE KOREAN WAR 1950-1953 AND ON KOREAN PEACE KEEPING DUTIES, 1953-1957.  Gunner WEBB died on June 16, 1952.  Gunner  DONALD EDWARD  THOMPSON also died on this day.  Both were serving with the Royal Canadian Artillery and both are buried in the UNITED NATIONS CEMETERY (BUSAN), South Korea.

This features a Canadian soldier, facing toward Busan, Korea, where an identical monument watches over the graves of 378 Canadians in the United Nations Memorial Cemetery. Accompanying the volunteer are two Korean children, both holding symbols: the girl, a bouquet of maple leaves symbolizing Canada; and the boy, a bouquet of maple leaves and roses of Sharon, the national flower of Korea.
