  • Photo of MAURICE BENJAMIN HAMM– Maurice Benjamin Hamm - Mader's Cove Noca Scotia. Great Uncle Maurice (pronounced Morris), as was told to me by his brother George Hamm who was my grandfather, was gassed while on patrol and in his weakened condition contracted Spanish Flu.He passed away in hospital in Kentville NS at the age of 27 after being released from duty. (he is the Brother of Company Sergeant Major Alexander Leopold Hamm Reg. # 222195, 85th Battalion that took the final hill at Vimy Ridge)
