Cst. Draginda was born in Fort Smith, North West Territories. He was a member of the Musical Ride for 2 years. Cst. Draginda was responding to the report of a serious motor vehicle accident. He slowed down and went through the intersection. As he did, the police car slammed into a half-ton pickup. He is buried in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Edmonton, Alberta. He was single.
