Son of Robert and Alice Jenkins, of Amherst; husband of Lily Mae Jenkins, of 30, Academy St., Amherst, Nova Scotia. He listed his civilian occupation as machinist. He sailed to England on board the S.S. Olympic on 18 October 1916 joining the 193 Bn. He was later transferred to the 42nd Battalion where he remained until his death.
