Visitor centre is open!

Visitors may now access the monuments, trails and visitor centre at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial. Please respect social distancing recommendations and safety guidelines during your visit.

At the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial, the visitor centre remains closed. Visitors may access the monuments and the trails during normal operating hours.

There are no guided tours for the time being. In the meantime, we invite you to download self-guided tour maps or take a virtual tour of our sites. Your patience is appreciated. We will update this page as more information becomes available.

COVID-19: The health and safety of visitors and staff are of the utmost importance. Please follow the instructions below while visiting the visitor centres.

  • Wait outside until an employee signals for you to enter the building.
  • Do not enter if:
    • you exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19, or
    • you have been in contact with someone who has symptoms or who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • Wear a mask (without a valve).
  • Keep a minimal distance of 2 metres between you and others.
  • Follow the directional flow indicated by floor signage and stanchions.
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap or hand sanitizer, especially upon entry into building.
  • Follow the directions given to you by employees.
