Baptized Louis-Joseph-Roméo Dupuy. Son of Louis Dupuy and Aurienne Desève, of Sherbrooke, Québec.
He first enlisted on March 27, 1914, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, with the 22nd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF). On November 10, he re-enlisted in St-Jean, Richelieu, Quebec, as a lieutenant. He then declared that he had served for two years in the 54th Sherbrooke Rifle Regiment, where he was promoted to lieutenant on March 27, 1913. In Halifax, Nova Scotia, he embarked for Great Britain on May 20, 1915, arriving in Plymouth, England, on the 29th. On September 15, he landed in Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, with the 22nd Battalion. He was incorporated into various units before returning to the 22nd on December 25, 1916. He was wounded in action by shrapnel in the Ypres Salient, Belgium, in the Zillebeke sector. On August 28, 1918, he was wounded a second time in combat during the capture of Chérisy, Pas-de-Calais. Evacuated to the 7th Casualty Clearing Station, he died there on the 29th.

LIGNY-ST. FLOCHEL BRITISH CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Ligny-St.Flochel is a village about 6.5 kilometres east of St.Pol on the main road to Arras. The distance from Ligny-St. Flochel to Arras is approximately 24 kilometres. The Ligny-St.Flochel British Cemetery is situated to the south of the village on the east side of the road to the village of Averdoingt.
