Cousin of Lance Corporal Burton Alonzo Treen, who died on May 1, 1919 while serving with The Royal Canadian Regiment and Lance Serjeant Beldon Treen, who died on April 7, 1917 while serving with the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles (Saskatchewan Regt.).
