Source: Library and Archives Canada. CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH REGISTERS, FIRST WORLD WAR. Surnames: Duane to Dzhobiewski. Microform Sequence 30; Volume Number 31829_B016739. Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 174. Page 479 of 1062. He was buried ½ mile South of Givenchy-en-Gohelle, and 4 miles South West of Lens. Subsequently his grave could not be found. His sacrifice and those of 28 other Canadian soldiers “whose graves are now lost are commemorated by special memorial headstones, inscribed to this effect with the additional quotation, "Their Glory shall not be blotted out"(Source: CWGC).

CANADIAN CEMETERY No. 2 Pas de Calais, France
The CANADIAN CEMETERY No. 2 is about 2.5 kilometres north of the village of Neuville-St. Vaast. The village is about 6 kilometres north of Arras and 1 kilometre east of the main road from Arras to Bethune. The cemetery is on a spur road turning left from the road to Givenchy-en-Gohelle, about 1 kilometre south of the Canadian Memorial at Vimy.
