Baptized Osias Jodoin. Son of Aldéric Jodoin (deceased in 1919) and Exilda « Azilda » Thibault, of Ste-Thérèse-de-Blainville, Terrebonne, Québec.
Enlisted in the 22nd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he sailed for Great Britain on May 20, 1915, and landed in Plymouth, England, on the 29th. On September 15, he departed from Folkestone and landed in Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, with the first contingent of that unit. He was initially reported as wounded in action between September 30 and October 4, 1916, and was later confirmed killed in action on October 4 during the Battle of Courcelette, Somme, in the capture of the Regina Trench. His body was never recovered.
