Baptized Joseph-Olivier-Benoît-Roméo Dusseault. Son of Joséphine Lépine (deceased in 1900) and Joseph-Anaclet Dusseault (remarried in 1903 to Émélie Cazes), of Montréal, Québec.

Suffering from acute fever and throbbing headache, he was evacuated to England and he died there two days after his arrival of pulmonary tuberculosis.
