Son of Henry and Elizabeth Lind, of Little Bay, Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland. Boarded the "S.S.Florizel" for the United Kingdom on October 3, 1914. Embarked with the M.E.F. on August 20, 1915 and disembarked at Alexandria, heading for Cairo on August 31, 1915. Embarked for Gallipoli on September 13, 1915 and disembarked at Suvla Bay on the night of September 19-20, 1915.
