92nd Battalion Officers onboard the Empress of Britain May 1916 crossing from Calnada to the UK. Lieutenant J S Laycock is standing on the extreme left. He was transferred from the 92nd Battalion to the 15th Battalion where he served until his death on 11 June 1917. The 92nd Bn and the 15th Bn were both raised by the 48th Highlanders.<P>

The Parish of St Luke in Winnipeg erected this memorial. This plaque was unveiled in around 1918 and is dedicated to Captain John Geddes, Lieutenant Charles Thurston Bowring, Maj Gordon Ruthven Heron and Capt John Scatcherd Laycock, killed in action during the Great War.

NINE ELMS MILITARY CEMETERY (France) Pas de Calais, France
Thelus is a village about 6.5 kilometres north of Arras and 1 kilometre east of the main road from Arras to Lens. The NINE ELMS MILITARY CEMETERY is on the western side of the main road and about 1.5 kilometres south of the village.
