Location:

Conches-en-Ouche is a small town south of Rouen, and 16 kilometres west-south-west of the town of Evreux. The Cemetery is on the northern outskirts of the town on the road (D840) to Le Nebourg.

  • Photo of William Riley– My father's uncle left northeastern Ontario for the west to take up land. My father said his parents were surprised when William enlisted.

We still have the Christmas card sent by Emma Riley for Christmas 1918, sent presumably before the news came of Williams death.

The photo is a postcard, apparently done in England.
